OEM says it has improved the Konica Minolta Clean Planet Recycling Program to simplify the recycling process of consumables for its customers.
The enhancements announced by Konica Minolta to its Clean Planet Recycling Program include the partnering of the company with a “leading global recycler of imaging consumables” to ensure a “zero landfill waste” policy, with returned consumables processed in an environmentally safe and responsible manner without any cartridges being sent to landfill or incineration.
Furthermore, all materials returned for recycling are reused to create new materials using material separation processes, enabling all consumables to be processed, extracted and recovered for reuse, and recovered component materials to be re-engineered to be made into other useful products such as asphalt and plastic modifiers.
Finally, the OEM has created a new end-user online portal to “provide a unique user experience for customers”; featuring streamlined order processing, pre-labelled UPS boxes, online ordering and tracking, and online reporting.
Commenting on the programme’s latest enhancements, Kevin Kern, Senior Vice President, Marketing at Konica Minolta Business Solutions USA, said: “Customers already realising the benefits of our Clean Planet Program will have a more streamlined experience, and those yet to join now have even more reason to participate.
“Konica Minolta is committed to environmental initiatives that focus on saving energy, managing resources and promoting policies that make a difference.”
