Kyocera joins other OEMs in aiding typhoon relief

TyphoonThe OEM has pledged around $100,000 in aid to the Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan.

The Wall Street Journal reported on the OEM’s announcement that it would donate ¥10 million ($100,000/€73,518) in relief aid to “the people and communities affected” by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, which has caused widespread damage and resulted in the deaths of thousands in the Asian nation.

Kyocera noted in turn that the donation “will be entrusted to the Red Cross Society”, and added its “heartfelt condolences to the people affected”, as well as its “sincere wishes for their recovery”. Other OEMs including Canon and Epson alongside Fuji Xerox have also donated money to the relief efforts.
