Company’s receives “highest standard patent award in China” for its SmarTact range of cartridges.
UTec, the global distributor of Print-Rite Imaging products and other equipment for the aftermarket, has announced that the State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO) has awarded the China Patent Award of Excellence to the company for its SmarTact range of cartridges; with the company adding that this is the second time a Print-Rite Imaging product has won an award from SIPO after its 86T inkjet cartridge won Gold medal Award in 2005.
UTec said the award is based on the “strictest evaluation criteria on innovation in China” and endorsed by the World Intellectual Property Organisation; with the SmarTact cartridges recognised for their “outstanding patenting invention and industrial design”.
SmarTact cartridges include a patented switching system enabling a contact development cartridge to work in a jump development printer, along with “numerous other patented design and technologies”; with UTec naming it as its “flagship product”.
