Professional shoplifting duo allegedly stole ink cartridges from three CVS stores in Brooklyn.
SI Live reported on the allegations held against two “professional shoplifters” who have been accused by police of stealing ink cartridges from three separate CVS stores in Staten Island, Brooklyn on 25 November.
37 year-old Tyrone Freeman and 21 year-old Shiann Johnson allegedly worked together over two hours to steal the ink cartridges, as well as medicine, from the stores, with Freeman standing on lookout while Johnson placed the stolen goods into an aluminium-lined bag.
The pair were arrested at their home and both face charges of “fourth-degree grand larceny and attempted grand larceny, fourth and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and attempted criminal possession of stolen property, petit larceny and attempted petit larceny”.
It also arose that Freeman had been convicted of a previous grand larceny offence in 2009 and had been released on parole in November 2012 after being sentenced to between one-and-a-third and four years in jail.
