Canon introduces four new PIXMA printers

Devices designed to meet the varying needs and budgets of personal and home office users.

Canon has announced the launch of the PIXMA MX532 wireless office AIO, PIXMA MX472 wireless office AIO, PIXMA iX6820 wireless inkjet business and PIXMA iP8720 wireless inkjet photo printer models; stating that the devices are ideal for business professionals working form home.

The MX532 is compatible with mobile devices and is able to access images and documents for printing from platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Dropbox, Picasa and Evernote. The device’s PPS app also allows it to wirelessly print a number of document formats including Word, Excel, JPEG and PDF from wireless-capable mobile devices. Auto-duplex printing and FastFront loading functionality is a further feature of the printer, allowing users to load paper and ink cartridges easily; while a front paper tray is able to hold up to 100 sheets for large-volume tasks.

Meanwhile, the MX472 features a four-colour hybrid ink system, as well as an automatic document feeder (ADF) and an optional Quiet Mode; with Canon describing it as ideal for anyone seeking a home office printer with a compact design.

Moving to the iX6820 business printer, which has been designed for users looking to print materials that combine text and graphics due to its five individual ink tanks. Optional high-yield black cartridges can be used for larger print jobs, while a Solution Template helps users in the creation of projects such as posters, fliers and menus.

For those looking to print photographs, the iP8720 photo printer is able to produce images up to 13 by 19 inches in dimension in resolutions of up to 9600 by 2400 dpi using its six individual ink tanks; with Canon describing the results as “sharp, crisp and ready to become artwork”. The device can be used with software such as Canon’s Creative Park Premium for further creativity.

Whether a customer is in need of a printer for their home office, or a printer to help bring their favourite photos to life, the Canon line of PIXMA printers offers a solution to fit virtually any desired use or budget.”

In terms of prices, the PIXMA MX532 printer will cost $149.99 (€110); the MX472 printer be sold at $99.99 (€73.50); the iX6820 printer will cost $199.99 (€147) and the iP8720 printer will be priced at $299.99 (€220).
