The OEM’s cartridge recycling programme will now be called Canon Environmental Technologies.
Web Wire reported on the name change from the OEM, with the previous name for the company Industrial Resource Technologies, Inc. (IRT) now replaced by Canon Environmental Technologies, Inc. (CETI).
The focus of the programme “remains the same” according to Canon USA, with the company to “continue to carry out its strong commitment to the environment” including “grow Canon’s product recycling efforts” and “foster a recycling-oriented society”, as well as “reduce Canon’s environmental impact through greater management efficiency and embrace green technologies”.
Toru Nishizawa, President and CEO of Canon Virginia, stated of the name change: “The name change is a testament to the commitment we have to the environment. Through CETI, we will continue to work closely with our community and foster future environmental business growth.”
