OKI adds Google Cloud Print to MFPs

google cloudThe OEM announced the technology will be available on the MC300 and MC500 MFP series.

Industry Today reported on the addition of Google’s Cloud Print service to OKI’s MC300 and MC500 series of colour MFPs, with the OEM stating that the technology “helps optimise mobile workforce productivity”, with the technology allowing for wireless printing from Gmail and Google Docs through a smartphone, tablet, Chrome-supported machine or PC through the cloud.

Noting that the service “improv[es] both productivity and convenience”, OKI stated that the service will enable users to “easily print high quality business documents, when they need them, wherever they may be, without the need to install print drivers or plug in cables”. The two ranges of MFPs feature duplexing, LED technology and a large paper capacity as well.

Takashi Inoue, General Manager of Products Business Division at OKI, commented: “Using our Google Cloud Print Ready products, you can make your home and work printers available to you and anyone you choose, allowing you to print from anywhere, from the applications you use every day.
