fujixeroxmfpsOEM asserts that service will help businesses to achieve “optimal cost efficiency and accountability”.

Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific announced the launch of the Device Log Service, which it said improve print management by allowing business to monitor and tabulate device usage and generate accounting reports; with the cloud-based service designed to complement the OEM’s multifunctional devices (MFDs).

Users of the Device Log service will be able to effectively track, control and allocate printing and copying costs, as well as send data directly and access usage reports via a web browser, eliminating the need to purchase, maintain and manage servers for managing the printing environment and so reducing capital expenditure in IT.

Fuji Xerox added that the service is able to provide users with an accurate picture on and detailed review of device usage and expense, using visual representations of figures such as tables and charts to improve visualisation of device usage. The company in turn hopes that by helping users’ devices to achieve optimal productivity it will mean that the number of devices required can be reduced, saving companies resources and costs from purchasing and maintaining equipment.

The service can be accessed via web browsers, meaning that “cumbersome configurations and dedicated server capacity” is not needed; with the technology being compatible with MFDs linked to an EP-BB MPS contract.

The OEM also highlighted the Device Log Service’s green credentials, noting that it “helps environmental-conscious businesses reduce their carbon footprint while improving productivity and achieving business goals”.
