OEM extends its ECOSYS line-up with three colour MFPs, one black-and-white MFP and two black-and-white desktop printers.
Industry Analysts reported that Kyocera Document Solutions America has announced the release of six new desktop devices to add to its ECOSYS range of printers and MFPs, with the products designed for both individual users and corporate work groups.
The three colour MFPs – ECOSYS M6526cdn, M6026cidn and M6526cidn – offer print, copy and scan functions as well as USB Host Interface for print-from and scan-to capability. They boast print speeds of 28 ppm for both black-and-white and colour documents, and have a maximum paper capacity of 1,300 sheets.
Meanwhile the ECOSYS M2035dn offers black-and-white printing and copying and full-colour scanning; and the ECOSYS P2135dn and P2135d printers include print-from-USB capabilities for flexible printing; with all three devices producing black-and-white documents at speeds of 37 ppm and offering a maximum paper capacity of 800 sheets.
The devices are equipped with Kyocera’s patented long-life drum technology, which “separates the toner container” and “allows users to replenish toner without sacrificing the drum – thus removing consumable costs and landfill waste”. They can also be switched to standby mode to save energy and are Energy Star certified.
Mobile printing is an option with all of the new devices, which are compatible with Kyocera’s Mobile Print app as well as Apple AirPrint. They can also be used with Command Center RX – an app that “displays toner levels, paper availability and device status via a web browser”.
In terms of prices, the ECOSYS M6526cdn, M6026cidn and M6526cidn have an RRP of $3,999 (€2,875), $4,209 (€3,026) and $4,799 (€3,451) respectively; the ECOSYS M2035dn is valued at $1,181 (€849); and the ECOSYS P2135dn and P2135d are priced at $599 (€431) and $529 (€380) respectively.
