Takahiro Sato takes on role of President at the OEM’s European headquarters, bringing 18 years of experience.

Kyocera Document Solutions announced the change in management, effective April 2014, which sees Sato replace Yoshiaki Onishi as President of Europe; with Onishi, who held the position for three years, now returning to Japan to become General Manager of the OEM’s Corporate Planning Department.

Prior to the role, Sato has worked “in various capacities across the Kyocera Group” since March 1996 and has accumulated 18 years of experience from working in Export Sales, managing the CIS department focusing on Russia, and working as Corporate Strategy Manager and General Manager at Kyocera Mita France SAS. The company added that he has “directed his efforts to building a robust internal structure and distribution network that has resulted in growth and profitability” and was rewarded with an invitation to become an ‘Inamori Fellow’ – a “prestigious” programme open to “only a very select group of the best business leaders”.

Commenting on his new position, Sato said: “I am delighted to take on this new opportunity and hope my leadership qualities and management style will give Europe the drive that is needed in this exciting time for Kyocera. We are built on strong partnerships and they remain the key to our future success. As we accelerate our transformation, building further solutions which integrate document input, archiving, optimisation and output, the success of our partners will remain the focus of our development.  The market is evolving very quickly with advances in mobile devices and Kyocera Europe embraces the challenge.”
