KMP will not exhibit at Paperworld 2015

kmpboothpaperworldThe company has stated that it will “not be part” of Paperworld 2015 in Frankfurt.

The German aftermarket company has noted that its choice not to exhibit at Paperworld 2015 was “not an easy decision”, having exhibited at the event and at Remanexpo for “more than a decade”. Its reasons include that it is “counting more relevant new contacts outside fair participations” through internet business.

KMP stated that “despite the longterm and emotional link […] participation at the leading fair Paperworld was repeatedly placed under KMP’s microscope during the last years”, and that “although the frequency at the booth was still good at the recent fair, resulting new business remained too low and the possibilities to talks for a sustainable development of existing contacts were regarded as too limited”.

It added in turn that the “increasing acceptance” of its own brands, which have “developed very positively”, are “one reason for the situation”, as well as the planned change in the hall from 3.1 to 5.0 at the next show, though it added that it will keep “Paperworld’s development in view”, with an eye to “strengthening customer relationships and launching a programme to push the printer supplies business intensively forward together with the KMP partners at home and abroad”.

Karl Killinger, Sales Executive at KMP, stated: “We had to recognise a clear decrease of efficiency of our fair participation, especially for domestic sales. Even the increasing number of foreign visitors could not compensate for this.”
