May 9, 2014

The company has been named on the New Jersey list by NJBIZmetrofuser

Metrofuser stated that it has been named in the top 20 research laboratories in the state of New Jersey by NJBIZ Magazine, which ranks the state’s best laboratories each year, with other locations named including global business Siemens and Princeton University.

The company added that it has “been on the forefront of many early stage product prototypes”, with the lab having “quietly developed and tested prototypes, and solicits feedback on how the technology could be used or improved”. It also noted that it is “responsible for inventing and productising many industry solutions and remanufacturing initiatives”.

“Trailer loads” of printer technology and hardware heading for landfills are “reprocessed” by Metrofuser, which then takes the most suitable parts and disassembles, remanufactures and upgrades them for “today’s networking environment for remarketing”. The materials used are processed through recycling centres, with Metrofuser estimating that it has “prevented two million pounds [in weight] of e-waste from ending up in landfills”.

The company also commented: “Metrofuser believes remanufacturing is not only an eco-friendly alternative, but it is also a chance for products to evolve from its original state. Every repair generation is an evolution to greater quality – a continuous improvement from the original factory model.

“From implementing engineering upgrades and component-level redesigns all the way through to process engineering efficiencies, the evolution and innovation never stops at Metrofuser.”
