East Lancashire branches launch “fully-managed water cooler service” for weekly charge covering “everything that the customer needs”.
Darren Turner, who owns the Cartridge World stores in Rawtenstall, Accrington and Blackburn, has announced the launch of a new fully-managed water cooler service available to customers for £7 ($11.78/€8.58) a week, with this cost covering the cooler (bottle or mains), bottled spring water and sanitation.
Turner explained: “Most organisations just rent out the water coolers and expect the customer to pay separately for everything else. We want to be innovative with the service that we offer our customers and make it simple for them to do business with us, which is why we have a low rental fee that covers everything that the customer needs with no hidden extras.”
He added that the bottled water used for the service “is natural spring water, high in natural minerals, it’s not purified or mineralised, so the body can easily absorb its mineral content”.
Explaining the reasons for offering the service, Turner said: “Our new managed water cooler service fits perfectly with our office supplies portfolio and has been designed in line with our vision, which is to become a world leading print solutions and office supplies business, providing innovative and cutting edge products.”
As the service is only operated across East Lancashire, Turner said that the “local focus enables us to provide a very flexible approach”, noting that it allows the business to replenish water stocks within 24 hours and bottle water “on a regular basis to maintain freshness and quality”.
The coolers are able to be free standing or are “small enough to go on a desktop”, and can provide both hot and cold water.
The Recycler has reported on the launch of a number of services offered by the East Lancashire Cartridge World stores, including the ‘Cartridge World Infinity’ “unlimited ink” printing service, which now has a “recommend a friend” initiative; as well as the offer of free delivery to business customers.
