New range of cartridges from Xerox India can be used in HP and Canon A4 printers.
Xerox India’s launch of its new cartridges compatible with multi-branded printers was reported by The Times of India, with the products set to target the over Rs 2,500 crore ($425.2 million/€310.3 million) A4 consumable market in India as the OEM looks to meet the need for “high-quality toner cartridges at an affordable cost with assurance of a reputed brand”.
The cartridges “will cover toner cartridges for [a] large number of popular HP and Canon A4 printers” and Xerox is planning to extend the range further over the coming months; with the products priced “from Rs 2,000 ($34/€25) onwards”.
The article states that Xerox has “an exclusive online pact” with FlipKart, an “eCommerce major”, to ensure that the products are “easily available across the country”. Kalyan Krishnamurthy, Senior Vice President (Retail) at FlipKart, said: “Xerox is a respected global brand for printing and document management solutions. Being the exclusive online marketing partner of their new offering complements our philosophy of providing better value, great quality and convenience to our customers.”
Meanwhile Vipin Tuteja, Executive Director, Technology, Channels and International Business, at Xerox India, commented: “Xerox branded toners and cartridges for multi-branded printers provide savings to the customer while delivering best quality printing. This is already a successful global business for Xerox in nearly 40 countries.”
The Recycler recently reported that US refill franchise Rapid Refill now offers Xerox cartridges compatible with multi-branded printers, with the OEM claiming that the products “equal or exceed the original equipment manufacturer standards in page-yield, but at a fraction of the cost”.
