Toxic spill found to be ink cartridges

hazmatScare over “toxic spill” in Florida turned out to be a shipment of ink cartridges.

News 13 reported that the immediate area around the Orange County Convention Center had been cleared by HAZMAT (hazardous materials) crews following what had originally been called a “toxic spill”; with Orange County Fire Rescue stating that “an unknown chemical marked ‘toxic’ spilled outside”.

However, the “toxic spill” turned out to be “ink cartridges that needed to be disposed of”, and reports that the area had been evacuated were found to be untrue.
