Jacksonville Business Journal reported on Atlantic Laser’s rebranding, with the remanufacturer, said to be the oldest remanufacturer in Jacksonville, Florida, “getting rid” of its Pure Print and Ultra Print brands “after more than 24 years of use”, replacing them with new branding.

The company remanufactures toner cartridges, and is now partnering with a wholesaler to “offer a wider selection of cartridges and phasing out its old image” as well as bringing in a “new name and a redesign”. Founded in 1992, Atlantic Laser offers over 28,000 products, with the site noting that its remanufactured cartridges “are collected from customers” before being remanufactured.

President Patsy Underwood stated that the “entire toner cartridge industry made changes over [the] past few years”, and as a result “there are fewer and fewer local manufacturers”. She added that the industry was different to when the company started, when “there were only a few main brands of printers to supply cartridges for”.

With “so many” different brands of cartridges now available, the company had chosen to work with a wholesaler “so they could offer a wider selection to their customers. With the change, it seemed like a good time to rebrand”.
