Xerox’s WorkCentre 6605
The manufacturer has launched toner for the OEM’s WorkCentre 6605 machines.
The chemical colour toner is designed for use in Xerox’s WorkCentre 6605 laser printer as well as Fuji Xerox’s CP105b machine, with the toner said to provide print quality “equal to OEM levels” with “efficiency and consumption in line with expected OEM results”.
Hubei stated that the toner is available in 10 kilogram bags with one bag per box, and that samples of 500g bottles are “available upon request and qualification”. It added that with the opening of its research and development centre in Wuhan, China, there are a “further four new toners due for release over the next two to three months” for Brother, OKI and other Xerox machines”, as well as “many new colour products scheduled for both copier and printer applications”.
Ian Copsey, General Manager for Europe for Hubei Dinglong, commented: “It is excellent to see the development work that is going on outside of the HP range – of course HP is a core part of the business, but as many remanufacturers know, the non-HP lines can represent exciting opportunities and profitability.
“Incidentally, a supply set of OEM cartridges (high-yield) is close to €600 ($814) at retail prices (excluding VAT): this makes [this] an interesting product for remanufacturers to consider producing.”
