Perfect Colours talked about the OEM’s environmentally-conscious latex machines.
The UK-based wide-format supplier produced an infographic with HP outlining the “brighter future” of the latex wide-format technology in the 300 series of machines, which it adds have been “built with the environment in mind”. It noted that the machines are “leading the way in environmentally-friendly printing” as the water-based inks “produce no odour or harmful VOCs”.
The three machines in the range are the Latex 310, 330 and 360, with the 310 offering a print width of 54 inches, a print speed of 48 square metres per hour and a maximum power usage of 2.6 kilowatts, whereas the 330 has a 64 inch print width, a 50 square metres per hour print speed and 1,200 dpi print resolution. The 360 meanwhile also has a 64 inch print width in addition to a 91 square metres per hour print speed and an eight inch touch screen.
In addition, the printers “can print on a wide range of recycled media that can even be sent back to HP for recycling” at the OEM’s expense, with lower power consumption and a “single heat curing element for instant drying” adding to the range’s environmental credentials. Perfect Colours added that the machines allow for printing on fabrics, textiles, floors, vehicles and wallpapers, noting that “there are over 500 different types of compatible media” that the latex machines can print on.
