Brother releases new colour lasers in Canada

Newswire.ca reported on the launch in Canada of the HL-L8000 and MFC-L8000 colour laser machines by Brother, which feature “enhanced mobile device and cloud connectivity combined with fast print speeds and ultra-reliability”.

Adding that the machines are “designed to provide the most reliable, mobile-friendly and fast colour printing for small workgroups”, Brother noted that laser “remains the highest ranked technology” for reliability and speed among Canadian SMBs, and the new ranges “offer a number of cost-saving features that help keep printing budgets in line”.

These features include high-yield toner cartridges to “reduce the cost per page”; a secure lock to “limit accessibility” and which “regulates paper and toner use”; and automatic duplexing to lower paper consumption. The machines reach print speeds of 32 ppm in addition to mobile printing capabilities, and feature colour touchscreens as well as a web connectivity interface.

The OEM stated that it remains the “Canadian market leader in laser printers, and the features and reliability of this new line will continue to anchor the company’s position”, with the machines released including the HL-L8350CDW, available now for CA$449.99 ($466/€342); the MFC-L8600CDW, available in early summer for $599.99 ($559/€411); and the MFC-L8850CDW, available now for $699.99 ($652/€479).
