OEM unveils its e-STUDIO 557/657/757/857 series of MFPs, offering print speeds of up to 85ppm.
Industry Analysts reported on the launch of Toshiba’s MFP series in the US, with the devices boasting a maximum print resolution of 2,400 by 600 dpi and monochrome print speeds of up to 85ppm, as well as a maximum capacity of 7,600 sheets; enabling them to handle “any print job”.
Security features are also high on the devices’ agendas, with a 320GB Self-Encrypting Drive (SED) included “that meets the ultra-stringent US Federal Information Processing Standard 140-2”, allowing the MFPs to be used in “highly regulated environments” such as government facilities and financial institutions. They also offer a Hard Copy Security feature “to prevent the copying of sensitive documents”.
Cloud and mobile printing is catered for by the devices through Toshiba’s e-BRIDGE controller, which also enables scanning for Apple and Android devices. In addition, the MFPs are EPEAT-registered and compliant with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive, allowing users to “demonstrate their environmental stewardship”.
