The convention, run by the Institute of Fundraising, allowed the company to both exhibit and speak to delegates about the company’s work to raise funds for charities, with this year’s show the third that it has exhibited at.

The Recycling Factory noted that it had “again been impressed by the consistency and calibre of visitors as well as the convention’s plethora of seminars”, with the company’s Business Development Manger Donna Savidge speaking and presenting a “pecha kucha”, or 20 slide presentation with 20 seconds of commentary on each slide.

Savidge spoke about the benefits of recycling to raise funds for charities, and added: “This is our third year at the Institute of Fundraising’s National Convention, and again it has been a great success for us, with a lot of interest in our products and services. We see the show as a key event in our calendar where we can meet both existing and prospective charity recycling partners.

“We are very aware of the financial challenges that charities face in terms of generating funds, and our collection schemes provide a great way for both existing and potential supporters to help raise additional funds for their charity without having to donate financially.”

The company recently saw five members of staff take part in a bike ride from London to Brighton to raise money for the British Heart Foundation, and has to date raised over £3 million ($5.1 million/€3.7 million) for charities through cartridge recycling.
