The largest manufacturer of aftermarket imaging systems and components launched six new products for remanufacturing HP and Ricoh toner cartridges.
The first of six new products was a “comprehensive” solution for HP’s LaserJet Enterprise M806 cartridges, including an Odyssey toner “developed and manufactured in-house to provide OEM-comparable image density and page yield”, which also “does not build-up on the PCR, preventing TAB-related print defects, and does not wear out the other components” during the cartridge’s cycle.
An Odyssey OPC drum was also launched with ZeroTwist gears, which Static Control noted was “developed for optimum performance with the toner” and which is “protected by two US patents granted to Static Control, and does not infringe the Canon gear patents” corresponding to the 2013 General Exclusion Order (GEO) handed down by the United States International Trade Commission (USITC).
Another of the products associated with the M806 cartridge was replacement conversion end plates, which can convert HP 9000 cartridges to an M806 cartridge, and Static Control added that the plates have been designed “specifically to work with Static Control’s patented HP 9000 cartridge end cap removal system”.
The other three products launched were replacement chips for a range of cartridges. The first, for use in HP’s 670 XL cartridges, features Static Control’s “patented ink gauge technology, providing full functionality while avoiding HP’s US and European patents”, whilst the other two are for the Ricoh SP 3400 cartridge and the SP 3510 cartridge.
