The largest manufacturer of aftermarket imaging systems and components launched chips for over 40 printer applications.

The chips are designed for use in machines from HP, Dell, Kyocera, Lexmark and other OEMs, with the company noting that the chips have been “designed, engineered and manufactured to be fully functional and resistant to OEM firmware changes”.

One particular release was chips for HP’s Colour LaserJet Enterprise M651 and M680 printers, both of which were released this year and feature print speeds of 45ppm in colour and monochrome, as well as an average monthly duty cycle of 120,000 pages. Another “unique” extended yield chip was released for use in Dell’s 2330 machines, which form part of Lexmark’s E460 monochrome printer range.

The chip, when “paired” with Static Control’s LE360-275B-OS toner, reportedly provides “accurate reporting” for 9,000 pages, which is 3,000 more than “offered by the OEM”, according to Static Control. Chips for over 30 Kyocera colour and monochrome machines were also launched, which add to Static Control’s “comprehensive offering” for the OEM’s products.

Finally, chips were also released for use in Okidata’s B710, B720 and B730 printers, as well as for Source Technologies’ ST9720 and ST9730 devices. Additional products released by Static Control included inflatable end caps and a “box for use in landscape-style toner cartridges”.
