Latest new toner products from Static Control

Aug 4, 2014

HP TonerThe largest manufacturer of aftermarket imaging systems and components released products for use in cartridges for Samsung, HP, Brother and Lexmark machines.

The new products include a “first-to-market” Odyssey-brand toner for use in HP’s M680 cartridges, which are used in the Colour LaserJet Enterprise M651 and M680 MFP machines. These devices replace HP’s Colour LaserJet Enterprise CP4525 and CM4540 printers, and the toner offers remanufacturers with “comparable page yields at an increased image density”, and the toner is the “first to be released to the aftermarket”.

Static Control also launched an Odyssey-brad PCR for use in Samsung’s CLT-x504 and x506 toner cartridges, which it says “completes the system offering” for Samsung’s CLP-415, CLX-4195, CLP-680 and CLX-6260 printers, offering “OEM-comparable prints in terms of image density, transfer efficiency and quality”, and the system includes toner, an OPC drum, wiper blade, developer roller, doctor blade and chip.

Additionally, an OPC drum with gears was made available for use in Brother’s HL-6050 drum units, providing prints “comparable to the OEM with good image density and no offsetting issues”. Finally, replacement chips were launched for Samsung’s MLT-D111S/XAA, MLT-D203E/XAZ and MLT-D204L/XAZ cartridges, with Static Control noting the OEM “often releases the same cartridge SKUs across multiple regions”.

Due to this, the company “advises all customers to check the cartridge part number prior to ordering to ensure the correct chip is delivered”. Another chip was also made available for use in Lexmark’s M1145 (24B6035) toner cartridges, and Static Control stated that all of its chips are “designed and manufactured to be fully functional and resistant to OEM firmware updates”.
