The announcement will see InfoTrends become part of Two Sides North America, which is a non-profit organisation that “promotes and encourages the responsible production, use and sustainability of print and paper”. The organisation has other regional subsidiaries in Europe, Australia, South Africa and Brazil, and its members “span the entire print and paper value chain”.

Phil Riebel, President of Two Sides North America, stated: “InfoTrends has been doing leading edge research on consumer preference for paper-based communications, including opinions on environmental sustainability. This work has helped Two Sides and many others address common environmental misconceptions about print and paper.  It’s great to have them on board as part of the growing Two Sides network.”

Jim Hamilton, Group Director of InfoTrend’s Production Group, added: “We’ve been impressed by the work Two Sides has been doing around the globe and so we’re very excited and honoured to be joining Two Sides North America. We look forward to presenting some of our recent research to Two Sides members at Graph Expo this fall.”

Two Sides previously challenged Toshiba over greenwashing in regards to its ‘National No-Print Day’ in June 2012, and consequently celebrated its own ‘Not National No-Print Day’ in October that year.
