The manufacturer has added an indicator light to warn of full capacity.
The red LED indicator light has been added to the rear panel of the company’s Omega series of fine-filtration vacuum machines, with Atrix stating that “when cleaning minute or dangerous particles, it is very important to change out the filters when they become too full”.
The indicator light illuminates “once the filter is reaching full capacity to aid with this”, and the user can “then change the filter to avoid any overflow”. Whilst the filter continues to fill, the light will “begin to blink”, and when it shows continuous red, it is “time to replace” the filter. Atrix’s Omega series of filters include the 31700C, 31800C, OF612HE, OF712UL, OF912HE and OF992UL products.
Additionally, the feature “meets the stringent British standard” 8520, which is “required on all fine-filtered HEPA and ULPA vacuums” used to remove materials including “asbestos, lead paint dust” and toner dust alongside other “dangerous materials”. Atrix notes that the new model number is VACHFIL for its 110V HEPA filter, and VACGFIL for the ESD Safe 110V HEPA filter.
The light kit “can be ordered separately” under the model name FILKIT, and can be added to any of the Omega series vacuum filters “at time of manufacture, for any industry application, including 230V”. Atrix states that “changing your filters on a timely basis provides benefits such as increased filter efficiency of your system”, and can “minimise filter changes and reduce filter costs” as well as “improve the lifespan of the vacuum cleaner”.
