The store in Rome, Georgia will be run by new owners.
Northwest Georgia News reported on the acquisition of the Cartridge World store in Rome by new franchisees after the old franchisee, Eric Labbe, decided to sell up after five years, with the new owners local business owners Larry and Missy Alford.
The Alfords already own a company called Servicemaster by Twins, and stated that they aimed to take over the franchise within 60 days, stating that the “opportunity to take over the local franchise is exciting” after Labbe had “done a great job of growing it in the Rome community”. The site noted that the Alfords had been honoured by the town’s Chamber of Commerce two years in a row.
Larry Alford commented: “I’ve known Eric for a long time. When we saw the opportunity we thought it would be a great opportunity for Missy to be able to run the business.” He added that his wife would be managing day-to-day operation of the store, stating that “[s]he’s really a people person and I can just see her getting out and calling on clients and making deliveries. She will be great”.
