The largest manufacturer of aftermarket imaging systems and components launched over 25 products in August, including drums, chips and toners.
The “wide array” of products were for a range of OEM printers, including those from Lexmark, Samsung, Xerox, Kyocera, Pitney Bowes, OKI, Brother, and Ricoh. A long-life drum was produced for use in Lexmark’s T650 cartridges was developed for “increased durability, making it ideal for the most aggressive printing environments and higher yield options”. An OPC drum was also launched that was designed for use in OKI’s Okidata B410, 430 and 440 cartridges.
Additionally, replacement regional chips were released for use in Samsung’s MLT-D116 and Xerox’s Phaser 3320 cartridges, as well as colour-specific replacement chips for Pitney Bowes’ 787-3, 787-0 and 787-8 cartridges, whilst a drum unit chip was also produced for use in OKI’s Okidata B410, 430 and 570 machines.
In terms of toner, a universal toner for a “multitude” of Kyocera cartridges was made available, including the TK-100, 310, 1110 and 3100 cartridges, with the toner “formulated and manufactured to match the toner of the OEM”. Static Control stated that this is important “because toner from the previous cartridge mixes with the toner from the next cartridge in the imaging unit”, and “non-compatible toners can create excessive backgrounding during the mixing period that end-users find unacceptable”.
Another toner was launched for use in Brother’s HL-L8350 and L9200 cartridges, again providing “OEM-comparable image density and page yield” according to Static Control, and another toner was produced for use in Ricoh’s SP 3510 cartridges, whilst bulk toner options are available for Static Control’s replacement toner designed for use in OKI’s Okidata B431 cartridges.
