The largest manufacturer of aftermarket imaging systems and components released over 50 chips in the past couple of weeks, as well as other remanufacturing components.TK582CP2-CNA_1000x667px

The company revealed that of the more than 50 replacement chips released over the past month, 40 are designed for use in Kyocera cartridges for multiple printers, whilst a number of the remaining new chips are for use in Olivetti cartridges, again in multiple printers and for multiple yields. Other chips include replacements for Xerox’s Phaser 6700 cartridges – in Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and India – as well as three for Ricoh’s SP 3410, 3510 and 3400 printers.

Additionally, a regional chip for Latin America was released for OKI’s C910 cartridges, as well as an Indian market chip for use in HP’s 960XL cartridge, featuring Static Control’s “patented ink gauge technology”. Meanwhile, among the other products launched by Static Control this month are toners, OPC drums, doctor blades, and conversion end plates.

The first toner release is Odyssey colour toners for Samsung’s CLT-x609S cartridges, offering remanufacturers “rich colour saturation and performance similar to the OEM”, and Static Control added that this toner was developed “to overcome fusing issues seen with other aftermarket offerings”. The second toner is universal toner for Kyocera’s TK-59x, 56x and 58x cartridges, which was “specifically formulated and manufactured to match the OEM”.

Static Control stated that this is important “because toner from the previous cartridge mixes with the toner from the next cartridge in the imaging unit”, and non-compatible toner “can create excessive backgrounding during the mixing period”. In turn, an Odyssey OPC drum was launched for use in Okidata’s C9600 cartridges, and when paired with Static Control’s OKIUNIV toner, the drum is said to “provide OEM-comparable performance over the life of the cartridge”.

The replacement doctor blade launched is for use in Dell’s 5330 printers, and is stainless steel, meaning it is “more durable than other aftermarket offerings”, providing “better overall image quality lasting for the cartridge life cycle”. Finally, the conversion end plates launched are for use in HP’s M177 cartridges, allowing cartridges from the CP1025 printer range (the 126A cartridges) to be used in the newer printer family “through a quick and easy conversion process”.
