The compatible toners, manufactured in Japan, are available in “patent-free” cartridges featuring a modified chip for a wide range of Kyocera Mita printers. Cross Imaging notes that “as placements of these machines are increasing rapidly in and outside Europe, and MPS environments become more popular in different markets too, these premium-quality compatible toners are a further step to offer our customers a competitive advantage”.

The company added that “all three toners have been developed to provide OEM equivalent performance and image-quality at substantially lower cost”, having “gone through and successfully passed an intensive test-cycle”, with “proven full compatibility with the OEM toner”. Each toner is also available in bulk or in respective Utax or Triumpf Adler cartridges.

The first toner is designed for use in Kyocera Mita’s FS-2100D, 2100DN, M3040DN and M3550DN printers, in the TK-3100 cartridge. The machines feature yields of between 40 and 50ppm, with resolutions of 1200dpi, as well as a long-life drum with a yield of 500,000 prints, and Cross’ toner has a yield of 12,500 pages.

The second toner meanwhile is for use in the OEM’s FS-4100D and M3550DN printers, in the TK-3110 cartridge, and the machines have respective print speeds of 45 and 50ppm, again with 1200dpi resolution and a long-life drum, whilst the Cross toner has a page yield of 15,500 pages.

Finally, the third toner is for the FS-4200DN, 4300DN, M35550DN and M3560IDN machines, which utilise the TK-3130 cartridge. The 50 to 60ppm print speeds of these machines combine with a 250,000 print duty cycle, a 1200dpi resolution and the long-life drum, and Cross’ toner features a yield of 25,000 pages.
