SC_HaraTrading_SeminarLargest manufacturer of aftermarket imaging systems and components attends event sponsored by The Association of Japanese Cartridge Remanufacturers (AJCR).

The event, which was held on 15 October in Nagoya, Japan, was attended by more than 50 remanufacturers, with Static Control and its exclusive distributor for Japan, Hara Trading, headlining the AJCR seminar.

Juan Carlos Bonell, Vice President of Distributor Sales at Static Control, spoke to attendees about worldwide remanufacturing trends, and provided an update on patent legal actions, with attendees expressing particular interest in Canon’s recent victory in South Korea regarding OPC drums.

Taka Emori, Director of Business Development at Hara Trading, translated the seminar. He said: “Trade organisations like the AJCR are vital to the industry, as we can work together to focus on the benefits of genuine remanufacturing. These events are helpful so that we are all on the same page as far as where the industry has been, where it is going and how to expand our business.”

Meanwhile, Bonell commented: “These seminars help keep remanufacturers aware of the many legal actions taking place around the world. It reiterates our point that genuine remanufacturing is the only way for long-term success in this industry. We showcase how it is not worth the risk to your business to deal with clone cartridges.”

This is the second event sponsored by the AJCR this year that featured Bonell as a guest presenter, with Bonell speaking at an AJCR seminar in Tokyo on 20 May about OEM lawsuits and how Static Control is addressing HP’s chip messaging using “unique chip technology”.
