The largest manufacturer of aftermarket imaging systems and components launched products for remanufacturing a range of OEM products.

The first release is Odyssey chemical toners for use in Lexmark’s CS410 and CS510 cartridges, which were “formulated in-house to overcome fusing issues”, a problem that the company says is “frequently seen in other aftermarket offerings”, with the new toners providing “excellent image density and OEM-comparable page yield”. The cartridges are “easy to remanufacture”, requiring only the “correct Static Control chip” and the new toners.

The company also noted that “additional regionalised replacement chips” for the two cartridges and CS310 were launched as well, with customers encouraged by Static Control to “send used OEM chips from Lexmark CS/CX, as well as MS/MX, cartridges” so that it can “stay ahead of future firmware changes”.

Also launched was an Odyssey developer roller and PCR for the HP CP4525 cartridges and related printers, with the roller providing “OEM-comparable image density” and a “convenient option” for replacing “damaged OEM developer rollers” that allows remanufacturers to “use non-virgin cartridges”.

OPC drums were also made available for Samsung’s ML-1610, 1630, 2851 and 3051 cartridges; an Odyssey drum for use in Brother’s HL-1240 cartridges; an Odyssey drum with gears for Lexmark’s T640 cartridge; and an Odyssey toner for Lexmark’s C540 6,000 page yield black cartridges, which Static Control stated “was developed to overcome mixing defects seen with other aftermarket offerings, and all other gram loads for the series’ different yields “have previously been released”.
