In a press release, Ricoh revealed the ‘Ricoh Printer for Green Project’, which will see it donate “part of revenue[s]” from the sale of the SP 210 range of laser printers to “fund various forest and biodiversity conservation projects” across the world – namely in Burkina Faso, Brazil and the Philippines.

These projects are aimed at conserving forests that “people and wildlife [depend] highly on”, and involve planting trees in “damaged forests” as well as providing “education on environmental conservation to the local communities” in all three countries. The OEM noted that conservation “is always [a] top priority”, and added that it has “long been working to improve the environment by innovating green technology” alongside “manufacturing environmental[ly] friendly products”.

The OEM’s SP 210 range will see the 213Nw and 213SFNw released, which are monochrome laser machines said to be “simple, easy-to-use, energy-efficient and equipped with all the functionalities [that] home and small office[s require]”.
