The OEM is aiming to expand its IT solutions and services in the south of the country.
DQWeek reported on Ricoh’s announcement that it would expand its IT solutions and services offerings in south India, with the OEM adopting a “business process consulting approach” to help out “key industry verticals” such as healthcare, manufacturing and education through “creating industry-specific solutions for these segments”.
Among the services that the OEM will be offering to organisations and institutions are “IT infrastructure services” including data centres, network and security, virtualisation, infrastructure management and cloud software, while its RicohDocs business platform will enable businesses to “quickly deploy” CRM (customer relationship management) applications, and will be available in the cloud and in hard-copy form.
Another innovation is the OEM’s multimedia solution, Ricoh Tech Class, which it says is a “state-of-the-art solution designed for Indian schools that offers modern multimedia classroom[s] with world-class content”. It added that “with the changing dynamics of business needs”, it has “transformed itself into an integrated solutions provider to fulfil the unique needs of customers across different industry verticals in a holistic manner”.
Manoj Kumar, Executive Vice President and CEO of Ricoh India, commented: “We forayed into IT services three years back, keeping in mind that today’s customers are looking at partners that can develop and provide customised solutions. Our strong capabilities in the domains of imaging, communication and IT services have enabled Ricoh to emerge as a one-stop business solutions provider.
“IT services is one of our key growth engines which contributed 45 percent to our total revenue last year. In the coming years, we would like to expand our business and increase its contribution to 60 percent of our total revenue.”
