The OEM launched the SP 4510SF and 4510DN for small offices and workgroups.
The SP 4510SF is an MFP, while the 4510DN is a single-function mono machine, and Ricoh stated that both will “fuel information mobility for small offices and workgroups”, as well as offering mobile printing and the “lowest cost-per-page in their class”. The two machines also feature print speeds of 42ppm, and utilise Ricoh’s new LED imaging technology for print resolutions of 1,200 x 1,200dpi.
The SP 4510SF features print, copy, fax and colour scanning, while the 4510DN features “mobile computing” options that “make information work for organisations that employ both traditional and newer workstyles”. Both printers also come with standard, integrated duplexing, and support paper up to a thickness of 90lb, and the 4510SF has an ECO-Night Sensor, which “powers the device down when departing employees turn the lights off”.
In terms of security, both printers have a DataOverwriteSecurity System (DOSS), which “destroys latent data stored on the hard disk drive after printing”, as well as “encrypti[ng] of sensitive documents stored on the optional hard disk drive”. For mobile workers, the Ricoh Smart Device Print&Scan application can be downloaded to smartphones and laptops, while an optional link to its Integrated Cloud Environment service allows the 4510SF to “leverage popular cloud-based services”.
Matt Sakauchi, Vice President of Product Marketing at Ricoh Americas Corporation, commented: “Speed, reliability, affordability, sustainability, manageability and a compact footprint are capabilities our customers have asked for, which are all important for information mobility in today’s new world of work. These new devices score on every count.”
The SP 4510SF was previously launched in the UK in December 2014, and is on sale for the suggested price of $1,099 (€967), while the SP 4510DN is on sale for the suggested price of $725 (€638).
