The OEM launched the nine laser devices for “home users, schools, and small and medium enterprises”.
Digital News Asia reported on the launch of the nine printers, including the HL-1210W, DCP-1610DW MFC and MFC-1910W, which offer wireless capabilities and mobile printing functionality alongside fax options, as well as two monochrome machines – the HL-L2360DN and HL-L2365DW – and four MFC machines, including the DCP-L2540DW, MFC-L2700D, MFC-L2700DW and MFC-L2740DW.
The latter six machines include “enhanced features for long-term reliability and efficiency”, while the DCP-L2540DW, MFC-L2700DW and MFC-L2740DW feature wireless connectivity, print speeds of 30ppm and a “Deep Sleep” power-saving mode. All nine printers meanwhile are said by the OEM to “offer hassle-free printing technology that prevents paper jams, delivers up to 1,000 pages of high-quality prints, and separate replacements for toner cartridges and drums”.
Itsuo Segawa, Brother’s Malaysian Director and Country Head, commented: “In the past decade, the size and price of laser printers have reduced considerably – and it has given us an opportunity to tap into a fast-growing market for home and small enterprise businesses.”
