A 124-year old patent has been revealed that has proven contentious.
The patent’s discovery was reported by the Huffington Post, and was registered in 1891 by New York-based businessman Seth Wheeler, blowing apart an “eternal debate” that has raged for over 120 years across the planet.
The patent refers to the correct positioning of an object holding paper in comparison to another position, with the two dissenting perspectives having battled one another for many decades. The patent’s revelation has now allowed those whose perspective was in line with the patented version to celebrate their correct choice over “advocates” of the other perspective.
