The toner manufacturer announced it would be the founding donor for the Art Diamond/California Polytechnic State University Endowment Fund.
The fund is said to be “aimed at supporting research, education and training in toner, inkjet, photoreceptor and related imaging technologies”, and was created by the Graphic Communication Institute (GrCI). Integral was awarded with ‘Diamond’ status for contributing to the “initiation” of the endowment fund.
The fund was named after industry notary Art Diamond, and has been set up for a variety of reasons, including establishing “one or more annual scholarships” for a junior or senior student “showing promise for a successful career in science, technology, engineering, math and/or liberal arts” related to toner, inkjet or photoreceptors.
Additionally, the fund will help “build, index and maintain a searchable database” at the university including “technical and industry publications, journals, periodicals and reports” for both general research and “studies of digital imaging methods and materials”. It will also support seminars, workshops and conferences concerning “toners, photoreceptors and inkjet industries”, and enable “ongoing research, testing, product evaluations and related services” in the three areas.
Integral stated: “Integral is honoured to be the founding donor of this initiative which will be working towards the future of the toner business, being in total harmony with INTEGRAL’s commitment to take part in building up the future of the toner business.”
