The OEM has signed a deal with 3D Systems to integrate its products into Kyocera’s portfolio.
The CubePro family will first be introduced, which includes Plastic Jet Printing products that are “ideal for schools and small businesses”, according to Kyocera. Following this will be the ProJet range, available in 2Q2015, which is suited to “R&D, universities and small production requirements”.
3D System’s Cubify software is also available through Kyocera under the contract, which “enable[s] users of all abilities realise their projects in 3D”. The Recycler reported on the introduction of the software at the EKOCYCLE store in March 2015, a clothing and accessory project launched by the Coca-Cola Company and musician will.i.am.
