The market analyst’s CEMA Consumables Programme Manager will discuss printing and the consumables market in the region.
Przemek Kowalski, IDC’s Consumables Programme Manager for the CEMA (Central and East Europe, Middle East and Africa) region, will give a talk entitled Printing in the CEMA region – a market guide to the consumables industry at the Focus on Europe conference. The event will take place from 4 to 5 June at the Holiday Inn Aurelia in Rome, Italy, and you can find out more about the conference at our event website www.therecyclerlive.com.
IDC has been conducting research on imaging, printing and document solution markets in CEE (Central and Eastern Europe) and MEA (Middle East and Africa) geographies for more than 20 years. IDC research is based primarily on local presence (19 offices in CEMA) covering over 65 countries on a regular basis in the region. Kowalski’s talk will provide delegates with an “in-depth insight” into the CEMA market, focusing on both the CEE (Central and Eastern Europe) nations and Russia.
The presentation will also discuss how the CEMA region “differs from Western Europe”, particularly with regard to the “key characteristics” of the Russian, Polish and Turkish markets. Kowalski will discuss the “development of the home and office print device installed base” as well as “business and consumer printing trends and preferences”, while also explaining “the structure of the ink and toner consumables markets”.
Key questions that will be addressed by the presentation include “what is the market share of compatible ink, toners, and refilling services?; “how do consumables influence printing hardware purchases?”; “does a large installed base of printing devices guarantee a high page output and high ink or toner sales?”; and “what is the impact of mobile devices (tablets/smartphones) on page volume?”.
The call for papers for the event in June’s acceptance notification date is this Friday – 9 May 2015 – while the final paper deadline is 23 May 2015. You can read more about the call for papers here, and visit www.therecyclerlive.com for all the latest information about Focus on Europe 2015.
