The consumables distributor is joining forces with wholesale organisation PEG.
Together the two enterprises will “tackle the demands of the market proactively and offer dealers a complete portfolio of products”, OPI reported.
The combined group will have over 250 employees and enjoy annual sales of around CHF300 million ($323 million/€288 million). Its management team will be made up, at a strategic and operational level, by the same executives of the two existing companies.
PEG will operate under the name of Papedis while both businesses fall under the umbrella of holding company OFFIX Holding, a group fully owned by the current owners of the two merging businesses.
Ecomedia Chairman of the Board of Directors, Peter Bu?hler, said the new corporation will “open up new opportunities in the market” and “create competence to actively shape the future”.
Christoph Clavadetscher, PEG’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, said: “By joining forces, we are arming ourselves for the future and will be an even stronger partner and employer for our customers and employees.”
The merger is expected to be approved at PEG’s next AGM, to be held at the end of May. The new enterprise will be open for business from 1 June.
