The OEM’s new Latex and Scitex graphics printers were shown at the Print China 2015 event.

Technuter reported on the new machines, released alongside presses and inks, which are said to “help print service providers specialising in the sign and visual communications industry deliver results faster and at a lower total cost”. The machines launched include the Latex 370 and Scitex FB550 and 750, alongside the Scitext 11000 industrial press and Scitex 15500 corrugated press.

The Latex 370 features “higher capacity ink cartridges” as well as the HP Latex Mobile App, which allows for “more unattended printing at lower operational costs. The app “monitors print jobs remotely for peace of mind”, while the 64-inch machine’s three litre cartridges help “keep running costs low”. The device prints on vinyl, banners, textiles, canvas and wallpapers, and the cartridges can be changed while printing.

The Scitex FB550 and FB750 machines meanwhile are said to be “the most compact printers equipped with an enhanced loading system”, and offer a table-top roll holder design alongside full bleed on max widths. The machines also allow users to use white ink, matte, gloss and textured effects. Finally, the two presses are said to offer “increased versatility and better surface durability” for “high value applications”.

Jeff de Kleijn, Director and General Manager of HP Asia Pacific and Japan’s Graphics Solutions Business – Sign & Display, stated: “PSPs and converters are challenged to do more applications and keep productivity high, while reducing costs and working with limited space. Backed by HP Latex and Scitex technologies, the new printers address demanding PSP needs for lowering operational costs, increasing workflow efficiencies and broadening application versatility to drive profitable growth.”
