May 11, 2015

efiThe deal with the MPS developer “is part of Snap’s continuous efforts to develop, stay ahead and meet the needs of businesses small, medium and large.”

Together the two groups have created Project DNA, a business transformation project that involves an investment of AU$10 million ($7.8 million/€7 million) in Snap’s IT strategy, focusing on evolution in the digital age and becoming more client focused as an enterprise.

Snap plans to update its management information system with “an integrated platform” via EFI’s cloud-based PrintSmith Vision, while “also expanding current EFI and third party integrations”. The franchise group is one of EFI’s “first and largest client installations in Australia” for the platform, putting them “in a commendable position with the printing industry.”

Project DNA will also allow Snap to study real time data, adding “huge values to a business keen to carry out trend analysis and stay ahead of the field” while the “modern trend reporting” and “benchmarking ability” the deal will facilitate “will give Snap greater visibility in the market”. The partners also claim it will enhance “integration of all services” and bring on knowledge sharing, creating “effective and dynamic franchise management”.

Business executive Michael Cockerton has been appointed by Snap as IT Project Director to take on Project DNA and “advise and lead the team to a new digital approach”.

Guy Gecht, CEO of EFI, said: “EFI’s print workflow software contains ideal tools to help Snap franchisees efficiently manage and grow their businesses.

“Through Project DNA’s multi-year agreement, we are delighted to deepen our long lasting partnership, which started with the Fiery deployment by extending it to our Productivity Software Suite across their franchisees. We are truly honoured to be selected as Snap’s trusted partner in implementing this strategic vision.”

Stephen Edwards, CEO of Snap Franchising, commented: “Project DNA is a major part of our transformation strategy to deepen our effective relationship with Australian business through our franchise network.

“It will transform the way we work at Snap so that we can become a more efficient and streamlined company, as well as continuing to deliver exceptional and improved services to clients.”

He added: “The implementation of new technology at Head Office and within franchises will make our employees’ days easier and more enjoyable while increasing customer satisfaction and profitability at all levels of operation.”
