Konica Minolta’s bizhub C454
The toner manufacturer has produced chemical toner powder and carrier for a range of Konica Minolta machines.
The toner and carrier are designed for use in the cartridges installed in Konica Minolta’s bizhub C224, C284, C364 and C454 MFPs. Hubei Dinglong stated that its “system approach” of creating its own carrier and chemical toner means that it has “a product that matches OEM print quality and yields”. It added that “indeed, some customers are already finding they can convert some OEM-loyal dealers with this new level of quality”.
Both the toner and carrier are sold in 10 kilogramme bags, and samples and performance data are “available upon request”. Hubei Dinglong noted that the products complement “an expanding range of Konica Minolta products”, including toners for the bizhub C200 and C220 and the bizhub Pro C5500, 5501, 6500 and 6501, and it is planning to release toners for the bizhub Pro C6000 and 7000 this summer.

The copier OEMs are using chemical colour toner just like in the printer channel. The difference is that some adopt a dual component system with the addition of carrier.
“Hubei Dinglong invested in a unique carrier production line two years ago – this means we can offer a system approach for this type of application. To offer equal to OEM performance and ongoing continuity it is important you are in control of both toner and carrier elements.”
