The company’s KDFM Audit Key is a USB device that “provides [a] snapshot of customers’ networked devices”.
The Audit Key has allowed Katun to extend its “customer solutions range” into the MPS market, with the USB device requiring “no software installation”. It also “quickly and easily provides a snapshot of all the devices on a network”, alongside “detailed meter readings” that allow office dealers to “submit adjusted sales proposals that recommend the best fitting printing device at the best value based on the end-user printing requirements”.
The company stated that “understanding what and how customers are printing is essential to building a relationship and ensuring future sales”, and the “simple-to-use, cost-effective” Audit Key is said to enable companies to collect “all your customers’ information at your fingertips in minutes”. The product’s “competitive pricing” enables sales representatives “to have their own key”, so scans and reports “can be run at any time without having to wait for a key to become available”.
In technical terms, the Audit Key allows for a customer logo to be added to the “flexible and customisable reporting”, and is supported in a range of languages, including English, French, Spanish, Italian, German and Dutch. Reports are generated and stored as CSV files for viewing by end-users, and managers “can choose to have the reports provide either very broad or very detailed information”, such as toner levels, IP addresses, print and copy counts and monochrome or colour counts.
