The importer and distributor is hosting a technical seminar in Bucharest in June.

The event, a technical seminar, is entitled Refilling OEM used cartridges versus compatibles 100 percent new cartridges – pros and cons, and aims to expose “the major problems [for] Romanian recyclers”, while also offering debates, a “practical workshop” and a presentation about Toko, “its strategic partners and the range of products and services we offer”. The seminar will be held at the Ramada North Hotel in Bucharest on 19 June, starting at 9am and finishing at 4pm.

Toko’s General Manager Victor Matache stated that the industry in Romania is facing “fierce competition [from] the 100 percent new laser and ink cartridges”, as the “price of these cartridges from China are very low and now compete” with remanufactured products. Over the past two years, Toko has “recorded a continuous decline in the recycling activity and in the sales of raw materials for the recycling industry: toners, OPC drums [and] cartridge parts”.

He added that “in our perception, the activity of recycling/remanufacturing cartridges is beneficial for our customers, for the socio-economic environment and for the industry”. Toko intends to “invite our strategic partners who want to address [a] few words to our customers, or to show a short presentation, or to send advertorials and sponsorships”. Among the companies attending so far are Apex Microelectronics, presenting its Unismart chips range.
