Recycle Week, which started on 22 June, is organised by WRAP UK, and focuses on encouraging more people in the UK to recycle. This year’s target is “recycling around the home”, marking the 12th Recycle Week since it was launched in 2004, and “retailers, brands, local authorities, schools and community groups” are said to be taking part.

Jet Tec noted that it is helping to “reinforce” the “importance of recycling at home”, and that as a remanufacturer it is “fully aware of the significance of recycling and reusing items that would otherwise end up in landfill”. While most companies “have a structure in place for recycling”, Jet Tec questions whether this “also stretch[es] to the home environment”.

Previous Recycle Week themes have included “recycling when out and about” as well as “recycling at work or school”, with others focusing on “specific items or materials”. Jet Tec will be taking the time this week, alongside sister company The Recycling Factory, to “make people aware of the simple steps they can take to recycle their empty printer cartridges from home in line with this year’s theme”.

Tony Speed, Jet Tec’s Sales Manager, commented: “We have always been aware of our environmental responsibilities as a remanufacturer and we’ve worked hard to obtain relevant certifications to reinforce this.

“We openly encourage our customers to recycle their empty printer cartridges with us, and our sister company, The Recycling Factory, works with many charities across the UK having raised over £3.5 million ($5.5 million/€4.9 million) to date. Recycle Week is the perfect opportunity for everyone to get involved, and we will certainly be endorsing the message [from] 22 June.”
