The SP 6430DN is said to be “compact, durable and affordable” and to bring “higher levels of productivity” to the office.

The machine is a monochrome printer that uses Ricoh’s LED imaging technology, said to deliver a print resolution of 1,200 x 1,200dpi “without loss of print speed”. The device is also able to handle paper up to 11 x 17 inches in size, on a “wide range of media”, and produces prints at speeds of up to 38ppm.

Ricoh notes that the printer is “compact, durable and affordable”, and that it has been designed to “bring higher levels of productivity to small offices, small businesses and corporate departments”. Other advantages it claims the machine brings are helping to “save time and money by producing large-format drawings, floorplans and schematics in-house”.

The SP 6430DN also includes compatibility with mobile printing through the Ricoh Smart Device Print&Scan application, while there is also the optional Ricoh App for Google Cloud Print. The printer’s “compact dimensions” make it “small enough to fit on a desktop”, and it has the option of three extra paper trays to give it a paper capacity of 2,100 sheets.

An interesting feature of the machine is its “two-component supply design”, which allows for separate changing of the toner and drum “to help minimise operating costs”, while duplexing comes as standard. Security-wise, a USB device server allows workers to “access a second restricted network to help safeguard sensitive information”. The machine will retail for around $1,729 (€1,557).

John Brophy, Vice President of Product Marketing at Ricoh Americas Corporation, commented: “Whether standing alone or serving as part of a fleet, the RICOH SP 6430DN can play an important role in companies looking for hardworking, affordable machines that support new ways of working. While continuously producing high-quality documents, it supports the mobility of both workers and information that is so crucial today in achieving greater business goals.”
