The OEM has launched the Xpress C430 and C480 for SOHO applications.
Whowired reported on the launch of the C430 and C480 ranges, which are both aimed at SOHO (small and home offices) environments aiming for “efficiency” and “depend[ing] on mobile devices”. The C430 and 430W, C480 and 480W and C480FN and 480FW are single-function colour MFPs and MFPs with faxing capabilities respectively.
The machines feature “easy installation” handled through wireless installation of printer drivers for those offices that “don’t have an IT administrator”, alongside scan-to-email as a “native feature”. Mobile printing is also “made simple” with both NFC (near-field communication) and cloud connectivity through the Samsung Mobile Print and Cloud Print applications.
The C430 machines run on 400MHz processors, while the C480s have 800MHz processors, with both ranges printing at speeds of 18ppm in monochrome and four in colour, while print resolution reaches up to 2,400 x 600dpi. Samsung stated that its “unique rendering engine technology sharpens text and boosts image clarity”, while eco-friendly settings include a One Touch Eco button and the Easy Eco Driver, allowing users to “save long term cost by reducing toner usage by up to 20 percent”.
