The OEM has launched the imageRUNNER 1435 range in the region after they were released in the USA earlier this year.

Trade Arabia reported on the launch of the imageRUNNER 1435i and 1435iF A4 monochrome MFPs in the Middle East, with Canon having launched the devices earlier this year in the USA. The printers incorporate the larger five-line user interface and USB port on the front of the device from the previous series, as well as allowing users to “capture paper documents” in “searchable digital formats” before sending data to other locations.

Canon says the devices were designed “for workgroups with limited space” such as small businesses or as a complement to a fleet of printers in a larger group, such as a nurse’s station in a hospital or a customer services area in a bank branch. They can print at up to 37ppm at high quality and up to 60,000 pages per month, and feature uniFLOW software for ID or card-based security measures, along with follow me printing and output management and reporting.

Mobile printing is also integrated via the uniFLOW Mobile Printing or the Canon Mobile Print app, allowing printing from tablets or smartphones. Each model includes Canon’s UFR II LT printing programme to “help businesses achieve their maximum productivity”, and the 1435iF has PCL and Adobe PostScript as standard, which are available as add-ons for the 1435i.

The series also offers a new Defined and Quick Fixing (DQF) toner to achieve high-quality, fast prints with reduced energy, integrating a large toner bottle and high-yield imaging drum design. The toner and drum are separate “in order to reduce waste and achieve greater efficiencies in printing”.
